SEQUIM — “An Unusual Evening in Sequim,” a monthly performance series at Olympic Theatre Arts, will bring “Music, Dance and Words, Oh My!” this Friday.
Admission is free to the 6:30 p.m. event in the Gathering Hall at OTA, 414 N. Sequim Ave.
It will feature writers Karen Hogan, Ruth Marcus and Peggy McCaffrey; pianist-composer Tom Darter; choreographer Laurel Herrera; and dancer Cami Ortloff, all offering original works.
This will be an evening of one art talking to another, Hogan said: piano music inspired by words; words inspired by music; dance inspired by both.
“This month’s program not only draws from the wealth of talent we have in our community; it takes a unique view of performing arts,” added OTA board member Kathy Purcell.
“An Unusual Evening in Sequim” will coincide with downtown’s First Friday Art Walk, when galleries, cafes and shops display art and serve refreshments from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
