SEQUIM — Artwork and vendor booth applications are solicited for the 16th annual Sequim Lavender Festival.
ARTWORK SHOULD FOCUS on “lavender in various scenes (including country and farming scenes), settings and formats . . . how lavender may be involved in the daily life of a person, family or pet or whimsical lifestyle,” according to the Sequim Lavender Growers Association, which sponsors the lavender festival and the juried art competition, “A Shade of Purple.”
Prizes include $750, $500 and $250.
The winning artwork will be made part of promotion for the festival, scheduled July 20-22, 2012.
