PORT TOWNSEND — North Olympic Peninsula Quilts of Valor will host its Summer Sew Day quilting party from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The annual event is in the American Legion’s Marvin G. Shields Post No. 26, 209 Monroe St.
The public is invited to come help sew; no prior quilting experience is necessary.
Quilts of Valor will provide fabric, quilt kits, cutting mats, cutters, irons and ironing boards.
Attendees should bring a sewing machine, if possible.
Quilts of Valor is a volunteer organization that sews quilts to present to veterans of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard, as well as to current service members.
