PORT ANGELES — Bank of America’s downtown Port Angeles branch will close Jan. 8, with services transferred to another branch office in town.
The branch’s services and most of its employees will be transferred to the bank’s other Port Angeles branch at 134 W. Eighth St., said company spokeswoman Britney Sheehan today.
She said the branch will be closed because it will be more cost-effective for the company to consolidate its Port Angeles branches rather than upgrade the older downtown location.
Positions for employees are available at the Eight Street and the Sequim branches.
No employees will lose the jobs because of the closure, Sheehan said.
