PORT TOWNSEND – On March 16, cashing a check will be a colorful experience at First Federal Savings & Loan.
And staff at The Green Eyeshade will resemble characters from “Upstairs, Downstairs.”
“They wait on people, so I wanted them to look like people in service,” said Marilyn Staples.
Staples is the owner of the kitchenware and gift shop on Water Street.
On Saturday, she was choosing outfits for herself and staff to wear during the 11th annual Victorian Festival, scheduled March 16 through March 18.
“I’m getting four complete costumes – skirts and shirts,” Staples said.
“I’ve already bought ruffled aprons.”
