Barhop Brewing opens new combined location in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — Barhop Brewing will reopen across the street from the MV Coho ferry terminal at 124 W. Railroad Ave. at

3 p.m. Wednesday.

Barhop’s taproom had been at 110 N. Laurel St.

“Our new 7,000- square-foot waterfront location allows us to have both the brewery and taproom under one roof to better serve our customers and bring the brewing experience to downtown Port Angeles,” said owner and brewmaster Tom Curry.

With the closure of Railroad Avenue for construction along the waterfront, traffic is routed through the alley between Laurel and Oak streets, with free parking in the city parking lot behind the brewery.

To celebrate the new location, Highway 203, a classic-rock band from the Seattle area, will perform at the brewery from 9 p.m. to midnight Friday.

Barhop Brewing has been a licensed brewery in Port Angeles since November 2010.

It was named Northwest Nano-brewery of the Year for 2011 by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer website and participated in the Great American Beer Festival Denver in 2011 and 2012.
