BLYN — An exhibit dedicated to military veterans, especially Vietnam service members who were killed or are missing in action, begins a three-day visit today.
The American Veterans Traveling Tribute features a replica of the Washington, D.C., National Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall that lists the names of the 58,209 Americans killed in the Vietnam War.
It also includes a tribute to public safety workers — firefighters, policeman and emergency services personnel — who put their lives at risk every day.
It arrived at 7 Cedars Casino, 270756 Highway 101, on Wednesday night, and is scheduled to open today.
The traveling wall — 80 percent the size of the national memorial — will be open with exhibit staff on hand until 8 p.m. today, and then reopen from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
An opening ceremony, including a presentation by the Native American VFW Post No. 11481, will be held at noon today.
