PORT ANGELES — Bobby Beeman, an employee of Olympic Medical Center for 15 years, has been promoted to director of marketing and communications.

Olympic Medical Center (OMC) representatives say the promotion was based on “her experience, strategic perspective and collaborative abilities.”

During her OMC tenure, Beeman has developed expertise and practical skills in health care communications, media relations, public relations, marketing, planning, promotions, project management and event planning, OMC said in its announcement.

She joined the organization in 2005 as a marketing and public relations coordinator and was promoted to communications manager in 2013.

“Bobby excels at cultivating effective working relationships within OMC and also throughout the community,” said Jennifer Burkhardt, chief human resources officer and general counsel, in a press release.

“She is tenacious, diplomatic and high achieving, and she applies these skills with finesse, patience and humor.”

Beeman has played an important role in legislative advocacy and employee engagement as well as the development of Olympic Medical Center’s strategic plan and community health needs assessment, OMC representatives said.

In 2019, she was nominated and recognized on the national level as a Professional Women in Advocacy Finalist in a federal advocacy campaign.

Beeman is also an active member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development and presented on public affairs and advocacy as a concurrent speaker at the national conference in the fall of 2019 in Nashville.

Beeman is a board member for the Olympic Community of Health representing public hospitals, and a member on the public policy advisory group at the Washington Hospital Association.
