SEQUIM – The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula, in their ongoing saga of personnel and fundraising, have won some and lost one.
Make that won a lot and lost a chief.
Todd Bale, the clubs’ executive director who has held the post since July, has resigned and left, said Sequim Boys & Girls Club director Mary Budke.
Bale could not come to an agreement with the clubs on provision of benefits for his wife and children.
The clubs’ staff and board of directors will assume Bale’s responsibilities, pending a decision by the board to select a permanent replacement, board president Len Lewicki said in a news release.
Lewicki could not be reached for further comment on Bale’s departure, and Budke declined to elaborate, saying only that there’s no interim executive director.
