PORT ANGELES — More than 100 children celebrated the holidays last week at the Port Angeles branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula.
They were treated to a pizza dinner, gifts from the Toys for Tots campaign, games, books, stories, crafts and a visit from Santa Claus.
The event is sponsored annually by the Soroptimist International of Port Angeles Jet Set for the Port Angeles Club.
Volunteer support was provided by the Peninsula Men’s Soccer Team and Jet Set members.
Each child received a blue Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula sweatshirt from the Jet Set club.
Contributing to the event were Domino’s Pizza, Van Goes Pizza, Gordy’s, Van Dyken Dentistry, Clallam County Literacy Council of the United Way, Albertsons, Pepsi Cola Bottling Co., Port Angeles Food Bank and Toys for Tots.
