BREAKING NEWS: Harbor-Works to consider dissolving Thursday

PORT ANGELES — The Harbor-Works board will consider dissolving the public development authority at a meeting Thursday, its chairman said today.

Orville Campbell said it’s time for the five board members to discuss dissolution since Rayonier Properties LLC has repeatedly said it will not sell its 75-acre former mill site to the Harbor-Works Development Authority.

The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Campbell said a location has not been selected.

State updates plan for Miller Peninsula

Sequim staff plan to send a proposal to the state this month to potentially fund sewer and water lift stations on West Sequim Bay Road using new developments’ property taxes through a Tax Increment Area by Sequim Bay in a 363-acre area.
