SEQUIM — Police seek a man in a midmorning robbery reported at KeyBank on North Dunlap Street.
With police and Clallam County Sheriff’s Office patrol cars staked out around the neighborhood north of East Washington Street and east of North Sequim Avenue, armed law officers used Sequim police’s drug-sniffing dog to hunt down the suspect, described as a white male.
Initial radio dispatch reports had the man fleeing on a bicycle with a bag. Some reports stated that money was flying out of the bag as winds gusted.
“We’ve contacted the FBI and other banks in the area,” said Sequim Police Lt. Sherry Crain, at the front door of the bank where employee witnesses were being interviewed. The bank was closed and an investigator placed yellow tape across the front entrance.
No other details were available but police were putting out a photo with a description of the suspect.
