BRINNON — West Canal Community Broadband Project officials will host a public meeting tonight to discuss future broadband internet plans with south Brinnon residents.
Officials will be sharing details and maps about broadband service and what needs to be done so the area doesn’t remain an “internet desert,” officials said.
The meeting is tonight from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Brinnon Community Center, 306144 U.S. 101.
Officials from the West Canal group, the Jefferson County Public Utility District (PUD), Mason PUD 1 and the state Broadband Office will speak at the meeting.
The meeting will be specifically discussing the area between Mount Walker and Hama Hama Oyster Co., officials said.
