BUSINESS BRIEFS: Oncologist, nurse practitioner join Port Angeles cancer center staff; new manager joins OMC

PORT ANGELES — Olympic Medical Cancer Center recently welcomed medical oncologist Rachna Anand, DO, and oncology nurse practitioner Tamara Montgomery, MSN, NPC-C, OCN, to its staff this month.

Anand is board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology.

She graduated from the Temple University School of Pharmacy in Philadelphia before obtaining her doctorate from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Anand most recently worked for Advantage Care Physicians in Staten Island, N.Y.

Montgomery obtained her Master of Science in nursing from Gonzaga University in Spokane, graduating from the family nurse practitioner program.

She has extensive experience in oncology and hematology, working for almost 12 years as a registered nurse for Hematology Oncology Associates in Medford, Ore., and two years as a registered nurse coordinator for Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland, Ore.

New manager joins OMC in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — Olympic Medical Center recently welcomed Rockie Lee as its new plant operations and construction manager.

Lee spent 20 years in the Navy working in facilities and equipment management, as well as for General Motors, Lockheed Martin, Monsanto and the state of Connecticut.

Lee is transplanting from Orlando, Fla.

Dan Willis of Port Townsend, a docent at the Point Wilson Lighthouse at Fort Worden State Park, conducts a tour for interested visitors on Thursday.
