PORT ANGELES — Jan’s Country Garden will open April 14, 15 and 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for customers to pick up their dahlia tuber orders.
The garden also will be open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays for three weeks from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The garden will be closed May 5-7 but will reopen May 12-14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The ideal time to plant dahlia tubers on the Olympic Peninsula is during the first part of May or after the night temperature is consistently 50-60 degrees or warmer.
Most dahlias begin to bloom by the first of July and bloom until first frost in late October or November.
The garden is celebrating its 26th year of operation and is centrally located between Port Angeles and Sequim at 344 O’Brien Road.
