BUSINESS BRIEFS: Stairclimb fundraiser set March 14 in Port Angeles . . . and other items

PORT ANGELES — Price Ford Lincoln, located at 3311 E. U.S. Highway 101, will host a fundraiser in conjunction with the Scott Firefighter Stairclimb from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 14.

Every person to test drive a vehicle that day will raise $20 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, up to a limit of $10,000.

There will be staff on site to accommodate test drives for a large number of people.

Fire department staff will be on-site to assist as well.

Hiring event slated

PORT ANGELES — A Clallam County hiring and resource event will be held at Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 25.

The event features employment-readiness workshops, resource agency information booths and employers who are hiring.

Interested job seekers are encouraged to pre-register at the local WorkSource office at 228 W. First St., Suite A, or phone 360-457-2103.

This year’s event is co-sponsored by WorkSource, Clallam County Health & Human Services Developmental Disabilities, the state Department of Social & Health Services’ Community Services Office, the state Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, the state Developmental Disability Administration, Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, Concerned Citizens and the local Morningside community rehabilitation program office.
