PORT TOWNSEND — Intellicheck Mobilisa Inc., developer of identity solutions and wireless security systems, has been awarded a $333,000 contract to provide Washington State Ferries with portable hand-held card readers.
The deal calls for 33 of Mobilisa’s IM2610 TWIC Plus readers.
The Intellicheck Mobilisa readers, said CEO Nelson Ludlow, will seamlessly integrate into State Ferries’ existing access-control security system to authenticate and enroll employee federal Transportation Worker Identification Credential, or TWIC, cards; authenticate TWIC cards of visitors and vendors; as well as read driver’s licenses, passports and ferry employee ID cards.
Installation is expected to be completed by late this month, Ludlow said.

PORT ANGELES — Bunny Cornwall, nationally certified massage therapist, recently attended a four-day workshop on contemplative practices for massage therapists in Dungeness with Jamie Deering, a massage therapist and educator in Port Ludlow.
The class covered nurturing compassionate presence and touch, tools for daily physical well-being and stretching and breathing with awareness.
Restorative movement to stimulate the body’s healing process was also included.
