PORT TOWNSEND — The third annual Women in Agriculture Conference will take place at the Washington State University Jefferson County Extension, 380 Jefferson St., from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 15.
The registration fee is $25 before Saturday and $30 after.
Registration includes the workshop, light breakfast, lunch, handouts and a book.
A multiple-site conference format, with conferences in Washington, Idaho and Oregon, brings national and local speakers to accessible locations.
Last year, nearly 500 women at 20 locations heard a national speaker offer practical advice on improving farming skills, marketing, labor issues and work-life balance.

Online attention offered at chamber event
PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold a seminar on Internet marketing during the March chamber event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 27.
The event, located at The Landing mall’s upstairs conference room No. 205, 115 E. Railroad Ave., is free and open to the public.
The evening consists of topics on how to start an online presence and how to improve it.
