THIS WEEK’S BUSINESS meetings in Jefferson and Clallam counties (all are open to the public):
■ Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce — Weekly luncheon meetings are held Mondays at noon at the Port Townsend Elks Lodge, 555 Otto St.
This Monday’s program will feature Port Townsend School District Superintendent David Engle and chamber president and Grant Street Elementary School parent Amanda Funaro.
They will update the chamber audience on the Maritime Discovery Schools initiative, a five-year effort to transform public education in Port Townsend through a central, place-based maritime framework under the auspices of the school district and Northwest Maritime Center.
The meeting sponsor is Jefferson Healthcare.
Lunch at $8 will be served by Subway.
■ Forks Chamber of Commerce — Luncheon meetings are Wednesdays at noon at JT’s Sweet Stuffs, 80 N. Forks Ave.
This Wednesday’s meeting will be the chamber’s regular first-of-month business meeting.
Lunch costs $8; a bowl of soup, $4.75; and a cup of soup, $4. The entree is lasagna.
■ Port Angeles Business Association — Breakfast meetings are Tuesdays at 7:30 a.m. at Joshua’s Restaurant, 113 DelGuzzi Drive, Port Angeles.
The program for this Tuesday will focus on Clallam County’s implementation of legalized marijuana, featuring speakers Sheriff Bill Benedict and Community Development Director Sheila Roark Miller.
There is a $3 minimum charge by Joshua’s for those who do not order breakfast.
