PORT ANGELES — Fire destroyed a vacant cabin and another smaller building Saturday morning west of Port Angeles.
Cause of the blaze was not immediately determined.
When firefighters from Fire District No. 2 arrived at the 400-square-foot cabin at 207 Sandhagen Road, the structure was engulfed in fire, according to a statement from the district.
A neighbor saw the fire and called 9-1-1.
The fire had also spread to to the adjacent structure and brush.
Ten firefighters from the district, one officer and two Clallam County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the fire at about 7:11 a.m.
The structures were valued at about $10,000.
They were owned by Greg Dooley of Port Angeles, fire officials said.
