PORT ANGELES — John Calhoun has announced his bid to run for a second term as Port of Port Angeles commissioner.
Calhoun represents District 1, the West End. His first term began in January 2004.
“Our countywide port district must play a key role in addressing the serious economic challenges we face,” Calhoun said in a statement.
“Steady and innovative leadership will be required.”
In addition to his duties on the port commission, Calhoun is also the director of the University of Washington Olympic Natural Resource Center. He has held that position since 1995.
