PORT ANGELES — Jim Cammack rescinded his resignation Wednesday from Olympic Medical Center’s board of commissioners — 17 days after he announced he would quit.
Cammack followed through, however, with relinquishing his position of president of the board.
The retired pharmacist, who had offered his resignation on June 2, offered no explanation Wednesday beyond “a personal problem that has resolved itself.”
Some had speculated Cammack resigned so as not to support the 300 percent tax increase OMC will seek in the Aug. 19 election.
That speculation arose from Cammack’s opposition to spending, which included buying the former Virginia Mason primary care clinic and the Family Medicine of Port Angeles building at Eighth and Cherry streets.
