FORKS — When Paul Headley finished the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life survivors’ lap almost two years ago in Port Angeles, he began dreaming of bringing a relay to the West End.
This year, for the first time, the 24-hour fund-raising relay will occur at the Forks High School track.
“It was all I could do to finish that lap,” Headley said. “The main objective of this relay is to keep people encouraged, bring people together and raise money to find a cure.”
The West End 2003 Relay for Life will begin July 25 at 6 p.m. and end July 26 at 6 p.m.
