PORT ANGELES — A candidate forum will be begin at the Elwha Heritage Center, 401 E. First St., at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Open to the public and sponsored by the Lower Elwha Klallam tribe, candidates for three Clallam County offices will make presentations and debate the issues.
The forum will be moderated by Bertha Cooper, a former Olympic Medical Center executive and columnist for the weekly Sequim Gazette.
Members of the audience can ask questions of the candidates.
The forum will have three one-hour segments:
■ 2:30 p.m. — Sheila Roark Miller and Mary Ellen Winborn, candidates for director of county community development.
■ 3:30 p.m. — Rick Porter and Cathy Marshall, candidates for District Court 1 judge.
■ 4:30 p.m. — William Payne and Mark Nichols, candidates for prosecuting attorney.
At 5:30 p.m. there will be a reception with light refreshments.
The public can speak with the candidates during the reception.
