A $1.2 million project that will pave two miles of U.S. Highway 101 from Kitchen-Dick Road to the Dungeness River through Carlsborg begins today.
Motorists all week can expect intermittent lane closures and flaggers redirecting traffic between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., the state Department of Transportation said.
The project includes pavement repair, guardrail installation, utility adjustments, permanent signs and road marking and striping.
Lakeside Industries of Port Angeles was awarded the paving contract in April. The project is expected to last about five weeks, DOT said.
