PORT ANGELES — A celebration of life for Sylvia Wanner, founder of the Ballet Workshop, is set for 5 p.m. Nov. 28.
The event will be at the Naval Elks Lodge, 131 E. First St.
Wanner, who established Port Angeles’ ballet school in 1970, died Nov. 6. She was 80.
During more than four decades mentoring dancers, Wanner staged many productions, including “The Nutcracker” and, just before her retirement, “Coppélia” in June 2013.
Kate Robbins, who became the owner of the Ballet Workshop in 2014, hopes to welcome Wanner’s friends, former students and fellow dancers at the gathering.
Attendees are asked to RSVP via theballetworkshopPA@gmail.com.
