CHIMACUM — School leaders from Kettle Falls and Lynden were selected as finalists Saturday for the position of Chimacum School District superintendent.
The school board Saturday chose Mike Blair and Tom Opstad from five candidates announced last week to replace Mary Lynne Derrington, who is leaving for the top post in the Blaine School District.
The men are being invited separately to Chimacum on Tuesday and Wednesday, when they will visit with the school staff and board members. They will also meet the community at a forum from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.: at the high school, 91 W. Valley Road, Chimacum.
