CHIMACUM — The search for a new Chimacum School District superintendent has been narrowed to five candidates, one of whom will be selected June 11.
This weekend, the school board will further reduce that number to two finalists to fill the spot being vacated by Mary Lynne Derrington, who will fill the top post in the Blaine School District.
The two remaining candidates will be invited to Chimacum, one on Tuesday and the other on Wednesday, for a full day of getting to know the district and the community.
The school board Tuesday selected finalists from 20 applicants.
