More than half of the absentee ballots mailed to voters in Chimacum School District have been returned.
Absentee ballots in the Quilcene School District maintenance and operations levy election are coming it at a slower pace.
Jefferson County elections figures show 2,038 ballots of the 3,783 ballots — 53.9 percent — mailed in the Feb. 5 Chimacum maintenance and operations levy election had been returned as of Tuesday.
Chimacum officials are asking voters to approve a two-year, $3.65 million levy.
