MOORESTOWN, N.J. — The Knowles Teacher Initiative has announced that Chimacum High School teacher Julianne Bonnell has been awarded a Knowles Teaching Fellowship.
According to a press release, the fellowship is a five-year program that supports math and science teachers in the early phase of their careers, fellows continue to teach in their schools.
Bonnell is one of 37 teachers across the country who were awarded Knowles fellowships this year.
This is Bonnell’s second year teaching biology in Chimacum.
She has a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Ore., and a Master of Arts in teaching from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma.
