CHIMACUM — Plaid flannel pajamas were the order of the day Tuesday at the Chimacum Cafe as staff and customers celebrated Pajama Day.
“This is wonderful,” said Jennifer Jennings, a newcomer to Port Hadlock.
“I’m from Santa Barbara, where they don’t do things like this.”
Jennings was part of a convivial crowd of regulars and newcomers who showed up in pajamas for the popular event, which was started four years ago by owners Brian Horner and Debbie Lynes.
Each customer in nightclothes received half off the cost of breakfast.
“We come here quite frequently, but not in our pajamas,” said Roger Horner of Port Hadlock.
“It’s always a good deal here, and this is even better.”
