Volunteers continued searching Wednesday for a single-engine plane that disappeared from radar Dec. 11 in southern Oregon on its way from McKinleyville, Calif., to Port Angeles.
U.S. Air Force officials in Langley, Va., identified the pilot of the plane as Yuri Avrutin and the only passenger as Bengt-Olov Sj^pgstr^pgm, both of New York City.
A friend of the missing plane’s pilot is planning to offer a $10,000 reward for credible information on the plane’s whereabouts.
But as of Wednesday, details about the reward offer had not yet been released.
