CLALLAM: 15 elected to Charter Review Commission

PORT ANGELES — Voters cast ballots for 15 members of the Charter Review Commission during Tuesday’s election.

The Clallam County Charter Review Commission will meet to evaluate the county charter — its “constitution” for county government — beginning in January to create proposed amendments that will go before voters in November 2015.

For the panel, five members are chosen from each of the three county commission districts.

Here are the top five candidates in each district after the initial count of ballots Tuesday:

District 1 — Nola E. Judd, Ken Hays, Ted Miller, Ronald Bell and Sue W. Forde.

District 2 — Norma E. Turner, Maggie Roth, Steven D. Burke, Selinda Barkhuis and Glenn Wiggins.

District 3 — Connie Beauvais, Barbara Christensen, Rod Fleck, Cheryl Williams and Howard “Mike” Doherty Jr.
