A total of 4,097 primary ballots out 23,110 distributed had been returned to the Clallam County Auditor’s Office by Monday, representing a 17.73 percent voter turnout so far.
Voters have until 8 p.m. Sept. 20 to return their primary ballots to the Auditor’s Office.
Primary races in Clallam County involve the Port Angeles City Council, Port Angeles School District, Fire District No. 4 (Joyce) and Quillayute Valley School District on the West End. Voters outside those jurisdictions are getting a bye from the primary election.
The general election will be held Nov. 8.
