Clallam County employee gets award

PORT ANGELES — Clallam County Commercial Plans Examiner Annette Warren has been selected as the Department of Community Development Employee of the Quarter, department Director Sheila Roark Miller announced.

Warren, who was hired as a permit technician 17 years ago, was selected by a team of non-management department employees called the Secret Parking Lot Award Team, or SPLAT.

As a reward, Warren gets to park in a dedicated parking spot near the entrance to the Clallam County Courthouse for three months.

Roark Miller said Warren was chosen for her attention to detail, professionalism, positive attitude, commitment, patience and willingness to learn and train others.

Warren became a building inspector in 1999 and a residential plan reviewer in 2005.

Recently, she has been performing more difficult commercial reviews, including fire protection plans, Roark Miller said.

“We extend our congratulations to our long-term employee, Annette Warren,” Roark Miller said.
