Clallam County courts and government offices could be open from 8:30 to 4:30, instead of the present 8 to 5, beginning in mid-January.
The Courthouse doors would be locked until offices opened at 8:30 a.m.
County Administrator Dan Engelbertson said he was recommending the reduction given the reduced hours for county employees planned for 2002.
About 131 of the county’s 430 positions are being reduced from 40 hours per week to 37.5 hours in the 2002 budget.
