Clallam County commissioners should establish a Boundary Review Board to give the county a voice in future annexations by its cities.
That’s the recommendation from the county’s Community Development Department, which will be considered by the commissioners at their meeting today at 10 a.m. in the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Clallam County had a Boundary Review Board from 1991 until 1998.
Boundary review boards consist of five members: two appointed by the governor, one by the county, one by city mayors and one selected by the four board members representing water, sewer, fire and other special taxing districts.
