PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Democratic Party will open new headquarters in downtown Port Angeles in May.
The new office, which will be open year-round, will be at 124 W. First St., Suite A, the former location of the Mouse Trap antique shop.
Preparations for a grand opening in May are under way.
The new headquarters is a collaboration between the Clallam County Democratic Party and the Clallam Democratic Club, a social and educational organization that supports Democratic principles.
“We are extremely proud and excited to contribute to the rejuvenation of downtown Port Angeles through the opening of the new Democratic Party headquarters on First Street,” said Matthew Randazzo, chairman of the Clallam Democratic Party.
“For those of us who have been working hard to improve the outreach capabilities and visibility of the Clallam Democratic Party, this spacious, highly visible new headquarters on one of the Olympic Peninsula’s busiest streets is a dream come true.”
The Democratic Party headquarters will act as a public forum for events, a hub for campaign activities and an informational resource featuring campaign news and a free political lending library.
Those who would like to contribute to the upkeep of the new headquarters or who have office equipment or books to donate can email HQ@ClallamDemocrats.org.
