PORT ANGELES — Corrections deputies Alexander Hamilton and Cameron Needham have graduated from the Corrections Officer Academy at the state Criminal Justice Training Center in Burien, the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office said.
Hamilton, a Port Angeles High School graduate, graduated with Class 492 on Dec. 18. He was working as a truck driver before he joined the sheriff’s office.
Needham, a Sequim High School graduate, graduated with Class 495 on March 26. He worked at Olympic Game Farm before he joined the sheriff’s office.
Both deputies have been assigned to duties at the Clallam County Jail.
The 10-week Corrections Officer Academy provides correction deputies with knowledge and skills in communication, control and defensive tactics, crisis intervention, jail operations, practical law, resiliency, security management, TASER and the Guardian Philosophy.
