PORT ANGELES — Bus driver Dan Kauffman stood before his bosses on the Clallam Transit System board and told them they were wrong.
A transit bus driver for nine year, Kauffman on Monday asked board members to reconsider their support of political ads on transit buses — specifically those that support no war in Iraq.
“It will be harder to raise funds to support transit if we are going to upset the public,” said Kauffman, who added that he was rankled over Peninsula Peace Movement’s ads posted last week on the sides of seven transit buses.
Kauffman’s pleas failed to sway board members.
