About 5,000 more ballots from the Nov. 2 election will be counted by the Clallam County auditor today starting about 10 a.m.
This will be “the last of the big ones.”‘ Elections Supervisor Patty Rosand said Monday.
Counting of ballots in the all-mail election began last Tuesday — Election Day — and resumed Friday.
Small numbers of ballots will continue to “straggle in,” over the next few days, Rosand said.
The counting is conducted at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles. Today’s tallies are expected to be posted on the Auditor’s Office Web site, www.clallam.net/Voting (click on the “Election Results” link).
The ballot counting must be finished and election results certified by Nov. 17.
