PORT ANGELES — The final day of candidate filings Friday produced a flurry of activity and a few surprises, particularly for Port commissioner, Port Angeles City Council and several school boards.
It also produced a primary election for one Port Angeles City Council seat as well as several school board positions.
Olympic Wood Products mill manager Tad Price filed for Position 3 on the Port of Port Angeles board of commissioners.
Price will face Olympic Natural Resources Center Director John Calhoun of Forks, who filed earlier in the week.
The position is being vacated by Glenn Beckman of Forks.
