Clallam County commission
The three Clallam County commissioners will conduct a public hearing on a resolution adopting several debatable emergencies in their weekly business meeting Tuesday.
The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Monday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The hybrid meetings will be conducted in Board of County Commissioners meeting room in the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.

Debatable emergencies include additional funding for jail inmate health care and COVID-19 testing and reports on spending related to the Dungeness Off-channel Reservoir project.

• Agreements for disbursing $24,400 in heritage fund grants to the Dungeness River Nature Center, $4,000; North Olympic History Center, $4,950; North Olympic Peninsula Railroaders, $2,500; Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, $7,950; and Sequim Museum and Arts, $5,000.
• A resolution to call for a hearing on the vacation of a portion of the right-of-way adjacent to Smith Plaza.
• An agreement with Jefferson County Public Health for $16.585 to implement a nurse-family partnership with the Port Angeles Healthy Youth Coalition.
• The award of the Dry Creek Road reconstruction project contract to Bruch and Bruch Construction Inc, of Port Angeles, for the lowest bid of $1,625,340.55.
• A call for a public hearing on the proposed 90-day contract extension with Astound to allow negotiation of a new franchise contract for cable communications within Clallam County.
• Several resolutions concerning appointments to various boards and commissions.
