Clallam County economic development officials are looking at several state, federal and local grant funding sources to help make the business incubator portion of the Port Angeles-based skills center a reality.
The incubator is slated to begin operation in January, sharing space in the North Olympic Peninsula Skills Center.
“This has been the No. 1 economic development project in the county for three years,” Jim Haguewood, Clallam County Economic Development Council executive director, said of the skills center/business incubator project.
Now under construction at Eighth and B streets in Port Angeles, the skills center will provide employee training for existing businesses.
The business incubator is designed to nurture and encourage emerging small businesses.
