PORT ANGELES — More than 500 items, including old police cars, fire trucks, computers and office supplies — even Indian-head pennies — will be auctioned off Saturday as part of a giant government surplus sale in Clallam County.
The multigovernment event starts at 10 a.m. at the county Road Department shop, 18th and C streets.
Vehicles, including a 1969 tanker truck from Fire District No. 6 in Forks and patrol cars from the Sheriff’s Department, can be previewed from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. today.
All other items will be available for preview an hour before the auction Saturday.
“We’ve got a lot of items,” said coordinator Judy Scott of the Clallam County Treasurer’s Office. “This is the second time we’ve done it, and it’s bigger this time.”
A complete list of items is available under “surplus sale information” at www.clallam.net.
