PORT ANGELES — A local attorney is alleging Clallam County District 1 Court judge candidate Rick Porter has violated campaign finance disclosure laws.

Porter is calling her public disclosure complaints “sleazy politics” and says they are not valid.

Attorney Karen Unger filed a complaint with the state Public Disclosure Commission last week, saying Porter has not followed reporting requirements and has committed ethical violations in accepting campaign contributions.

Porter said Friday the commission evaluated the complaint and “took no action because there’s no substance to it.”

The commission has not received any complaints about Doherty’s campaign.
