PORT ANGELES — Clallam County commissioners delayed a decision Tuesday to set the salary for the elected community development director, buying time to hear comments from department heads and residents.
“Let them feel they we were open to consider their comments,” Commissioner Mike Doherty, D-Port Angeles, said Tuesday during the commissioners meeting.
Doherty asked his colleagues Commissioners Mike Chapman, R-Port Angeles, and Steve Tharinger, D-Dungeness, to postpone the decision.
They agreed and delayed the decision for two weeks.
