SEQUIM — The Clallam County League of Women Voters will host a candidate forum at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 30.
The two-hour forum will be at the Sequim Transit Center, 190 Cedar St.
Candidates for commissioner of the Port of Port Angeles, District 1 and commissioner of Fire District No. 3 will attend.
Fire District No. 3 candidates Sean Ryan, incumbent James Barnfather and Charles “Charlie” Perdono and port commissioner District 1 candidates Colleen McAleer, Del DelaBarre and incumbent Paul McHugh will discuss their reasons for running for office and answer questions from the audience.
Under the Clallam County charter, voting in the Aug. 6 primary election on the port commissioner position is limited to only voters in District 1.
In the Nov. 5 general election, the two candidates who received the most votes in the top-two primary election, will be on a countywide ballot.
In September and October, the Clallam County League of Women Voters plan to host forums and debates for the general election.
