PORT ANGELES – The less than 100 Clallam County Public Utility District customers who remained without power Thursday after a Monday storm were expected to be reconnected by sometime today.
“There’s a lot of ones and twos in the Joyce and Lake Sutherland areas,” said Clallam PUD General Manager Doug Nass.
“But mostly it’s here and there.
“It takes a long time to take care of the ones and twos.”
The gusts of Monday’s windstorm knocked out power to an estimated 4,000 Clallam PUD electricity customers, mostly in the West End.
That number had been reduced to less than 2,000 by Tuesday and less than 500 by Wednesday.
About 8,000 electricity customers lost power in Clallam County during the storm.
Power was restored to Port Angeles city customers and 1,300 customers of the Puget Sound Energy in Jefferson County by Tuesday.
