PORT ANGELES — Clallam County commissioners are seeking interest from those in private businesses to serve on the restructured Economic Development Council.
Applications must be received by the close of business March 13.
Economic Development Council members recently voted to reduce the size of the organization and to restructure their board of directors.
To that end, the commissioners are seeking interest from people in all three commissioner districts who are in private businesses that are members of the EDC or are willing to become members of the EDC.
There is also an opening for an at-large representative of Clallam County.
To apply, phone the commissioners’ office at 360-417-2233, visit their office in the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles, or download the application online at www.clallam.net. Click on boards, committees and groups.
The Clallam County Economic Development Council is a private nonprofit organization that works to recruit businesses and preserve existing jobs.
The EDC’s expanded and newly revamped website is at www.clallam.org.
